Origami of the Flying Fish – manual
Step 1
The origami will be made with «homemade» paper of the size you want.
You can practice before with a simple sheet of square format paper.
Position the sheet in front of you as shown in the first image.
Fold the sheet in half lengthwise, mark the fold well and open the sheet again.
Bring the left corner of the sheet of paper along the vertical axis. This vertical axis will serve as a benchmark throughout the folding: it will be the backbone of the fish. Do the same on the right side.
Return the fish.
Step 2
Take the top corner and fold it towards you, placing the tip on the vertical line.
The sheet now forms a triangle. Returns the fish as in the second image.
Take the top right corner and fold it down along the dorsal edge.
Do the same on the left side and mark these two folds well with your finger.
Step3
Lift the two folds you just made at the top, left and right as in the first image. Then unfold the right side only.The folds drew a diamond on the paper. Pinch the right point of the diamond and at the same time fold the high point of the diamond to th edge of the backbone. Then fold the fin you just formed down.
Then do the same with the left side.
Step 4
To go to step 4 you must have obtained the same folding as in the first image.
Then flip the fish. Pinch the left corner and fold the fin in the middle, along the backbone of the fish.
Do the same on the other side and insist on these two folds with your finger.
Step 5
Fold the fish in half along its backbone…
